Welcome to my Web site--I hope it provides the
information you need. I have worked as a freelance writer since the
early 1990s, specializing in finance, business, and technology
themes. I spend roughly half my time writing articles for magazines
and Web sites; those articles appear under my byline. The rest of my
writing consists of copywriting and ghostwriting for financial
services firms.
In 2007, I began to expand by starting to write
for a local newspaper and country lifestyle magazines. Writing for
these publications has allowed me to work as a photojournalist, and
I’m actively seeking additional opportunities that combine writing
and photography.
Here is a partial list of the clients,
magazines, and Web sites with whom I’ve worked. (You can see samples
of my work by clicking here.)
I’ve also written two books, both of which are
now out-of-print:
-
Fast Forward MBA in Personal Finance (John
Wiley & Sons, 1999)
-
The Financial Advisor's Analytical Toolbox
(Irwin/McGraw-Hill, 1997)
On a more humble note, I also wrote the first
draft of a novel, which still resides somewhere on my computer.
-
Master's in International Business:
University of South Carolina
-
Bachelor of Arts (German): University
of Rhode Island
-
Certified Financial Planner (College
for Financial Planning)
-
Advanced courses in charitable giving,
estate planning, finance, income taxation, and investments
-
Foreign languages: German (Reading,
writing, speaking: rusty, but still fair)
-
Dual citizenship: Ireland/United States
